Fred Richter is a consultant, author, speaker, accountant and master communicator, skilled in many areas of business, financial and personal improvement.
He is the Founder and CFO of Richter & Associates, Inc., a single family residential property management and real estate brokerage company in Northville, Michigan, and a founder of Home Management Network, the first nationwide single family residential property management company. He has been a real estate broker for 34 years in Michigan and is currently a licensed broker in South Carolina. He was President of Richter & Associates, Inc. for 34 years until he sold the company in January 2002. He is considered an expert in his area on residential investment property, landlording and single family rental property management. Fred is also an accountant specializing in tax and financial consulting and tax return preparation for real estate practitioners and investors.
He holds the Master Property Manager (MPM) and Residential Management Professional (RMP) designations as well as the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation. He is also a distinguished Real Estate Instructor Emeritus (DREI) of the Real Estate Educators Association, and has been a faculty member at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan for over 30 years. Fred has been a National Director and chair of several national committees for the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) for 5 years. He acts as an expert witness in real estate and landlord-tenant cases.
He is a nationally known speaker and author and master communicator and has conducted many seminars on subjects such as negotiating techniques, real estate investment and taxation, sales techniques, buyer agency, property management and self improvement. Fred’s previous experience includes a position as general manager of a retail chain-store company and considerable expertise in computerization and electronics.
Fred is currently the Leader/Coordinator of the McCormick County, SC Metaphysical Discussion Group and guides the group in bi-montly sessions dealing with many areas of metaphysics and spirituality.
Fred has 5 children and 9 grandchildren, is unmarried and lives in Savannah Lakes Village, South Carolina. His interests include traveling, square dancing, fishing, boating, kayaking, photography, cooking and reading. He has studied extensively in areas of human behavior, intuition, sales techniques and human relationships.
He has been involved in numerous community organizations and activities for many years. Always in demand, Fred has spoken to and taught thousands of individuals and organizations nationwide and is constantly praised as a top-notch informative and entertaining speaker and trainer.
